Genre-symbolic composition with a male figure placed at the center, shown frontally with raised arms and tense expressive gestures. Behind the figure is a rectangular light plane creating the effect of a spatial frame and enhancing the expressiveness of the silhouette. On the left foreground stands a sculptural bust. The space is rendered conventionally; the color palette is restrained, dominated by cool grey-blue and muted ochre-brown tones. The painterly manner is characterized by soft modeling of form.
